Planet vs. Plastic - Microplastics in your Tap Water Soluble

It seems that microscopic pieces of plastic have been found in tap water all over the world. A non-profit Orb, tested water samples from different countries and found the terrible truth. Most of the water samples had some plastic fibers in it. Interesting enough, these fabric residues are the result of the proliferation of synthetic fabric which shed off from clothes in dryers and many other sources.

About 94% of Tap water samples tested from the USA were contaminated with plastic. Lebanon and India follow with 94% and 82% of samples found with plastic.

The Water samples from Europe were the less contaminated with only about 72% plastic contamination.

The issue with plastic is that it never degrades completely.

People ingests micro plastic through seafood as plastic residues end up in our oceans.

There is not much research on the impact of humans consuming micro plastic through food; but a toxicology stated that “Chemicals from plastics are a constant part of our daily diet.

Plastics leach chemicals including endocrine- disrupting plasticizers like BPA or phthalates, flame retardants, and even toxic heavy metals that are all absorbed into our diets and bodies.”

You’re probably drinking little bits of plastic in your tap water
